Hello, I am a neuroscientist and undergraduate veterinary student. My dog has osteoarthritis and hip dysplasia and can no longer stand. He suffers from the syndrome, and while recovering, he is unable to walk on his own. My border collie daughter, Dahlia, has a partially torn ACL. Dahlia is terribly afraid of the vet, so we try to keep her out of the office as much as possible. I took her to a rehab facility for dogs and horses and we did some physical therapy on her that I can do at home as well, but she needed a brace. The pricing of the vet brace and casting was very expensive and no guarantee she even do well with it on so I opted for this brace and has worked very well for her and I saw good results with her walking . My big golden retriever is used to me dressing him, cutting his nails, and giving him medicine. It took us a while to get it right, and while it's only our second day using it, it's working. He has mild hip dysplasia, and due to his age and size, he is not a candidate for expensive and non-guaranteed surgery. Add to that the stress of general anesthesia. He weighed 100 pounds with a muscular, broad body. So I ordered the king size. This morning, before I put the brace back on, I noticed less pressure on him. Hi, Mulder has a lick granuloma on his right front leg. I've tried wraps, old socks, etc. to keep him from licking it. He would lick the wrap until it was wet all the way through. This recovery sleeve is wonderful!! It fits him perfectly and he doesn't mind wearing it. He licks it but the fabric doesn't get wet all the way through. His granuloma is almost completely healed and I'm weaning him off the sleeve. And he looks very handsome in it!!

We are reluctant to put our older dog through surgery, especially with the other knee at great risk during the lengthy recovery process. A knee brace has been a great solution for us. Bought this to save my 8 year old. Mixed pits from surgery (had one on right knee a few years ago). In fact, I have no problem with it. Since my dog wears a harness, all I had to do was shorten the harness to get the right length, and she acted like she had been wearing it. Now I hope it allows the ligaments and muscles to heal faster. After wearing it for a few weeks, it is true, my baby is recovering well, thanks for this great product, thank you.

We discovered that our Labrador had a hip problem that seemed to become more pronounced over time. He has a very outgoing and happy personality, and we know he's fine; it's just that his body is struggling. So I went looking for an option to help him besides medication and surgery and stumbled upon this program. This seems reasonable in terms of price, quality and structure. Now that it's here, I think it's a good choice. He seems to enjoy wearing it as he can stand and walk better than before. He was so excited to put it on. This made it difficult for him to put on at times, but eventually after a few adjustments it worked for him. The brace also has a handle on the hip, which makes it easier for me to help my dog move around, and my friends and I love it. Overall, I'm glad I found this and would recommend it to dogs who have difficulty standing and walking due to symptoms of hip dysplasia.

I ordered the hip brace for my labrador dog because he hurt his hip and some stiffness and arthritis in his hind legs. I use the device on him 5 out of 7 nights a week and I have noticed an improvement in his walking ability. This is a brace that helps dogs regain their mobility as my best furry friend became more active and recovered quickly after wearing it. While it took him a few times to get used to wearing this at first, I think he enjoys wearing it now. I think this device will help him keep his hip arthritis from getting worse. Highly recommend this product.

I bought this for my 85 lb lab mix of unknown age who was showing signs of neurological disease in his hind legs. Most of his strides were fine, but after that he would knuckle hard and often scrape and bleed the top of his foot. After looking at the bracket support options, it seems this one gets the best reviews. Another option I've found is to put a plastic support under the foot that doesn't allow the foot to move, make one paw higher than the other, and have unpadded velcro straps. I bought him a large size. I tried to measure his feet and came up with a size medium, but decided to get him the large based on the weight chart. The size is correct. Since using this brace, he hasn't used his knuckles on his feet. It's a little tricky to put on, but it's quick to put on, and the top part has to be tight enough to keep the brace from slipping off the leg. I like that the elastic band is adjustable. Wear a brace while walking. He has the freedom of movement, he loves it, and it was a great purchase.

Excellent in every way - I ordered an adjustable brace but unfortunately I ordered too big a size - my fault! I returned it and immediately ordered a smaller size on Thursday and received it on Monday! ! ! Bought this for my dog who tore his ACL and had to wait 4 weeks for surgery. He doesn't seem to want to wear it overnight, but it gives my dog leg support and takes some pressure off when out during the day. I can tell he feels better in it when he has to walk and I'm glad I bought it for him...I hope I never have to use it again as he has surgery on both knees now( Just wish I had thought of this first!!). I think my friend would definitely recommend this to his dog friends...especially if they have to wait a while for the procedure.

Our girl hurt her leg some time ago and we ordered this brace for her, the brace is easy to use and wear, currently using it on long walks. Materials and workmanship are of the highest quality. It's perfect for our girls. It took her a while to get used to wearing it, but even with it on for the first time, she was able to start putting weight on her injured leg. I was told Remy would need $5000 in surgery for his knee and went researching on the internet to see what options there were. Remy is 6 and a rescue so poor guy has suffered enough trauma in his life I really did not want to put him through surgery if there was any other option. Decided to try this first and I am so happy I did. He went from not using his leg at all to favoring it slightly the first week of wearing the brace. After only 2 months he can walk normally without the brace ( but I'm not taking any chances) I put it on him whenever he leaves the house. I am so happy my boy is almost back to his old self.

My 11 year old golden retriever hurt her knee a few months ago and we have tried lots of rest and meds from the vet, but she was really depressed. We tried this brace as a last resort to improve her quality of life and try to avoid surgery, and it is actually a life saver! My dog is used to wearing a vest, so she didn't mind wearing the brace, although it took her a minute to get used to it. She only wears it on walks and then we take it off at home to minimize any skin irritation or fur pulling. All her other joints are still in great shape thanks to years of glucosamine supplements, so hopefully this brace along with with med injections will let her enjoy her walks for years to come!

My yellow Labrador was run over by a car as a child and had one of its hind legs amputated. We adopted Coy when he was four years old. He performed well until the age of 10. For ten years, he had been under enormous pressure on the joints in his hind legs, and he began to experience severe pain when going down stairs and began to fall. He was afraid to go down by himself. We purchased this brace and he wears it all the time. When he wanted to go downstairs, he would wait for us, and we would pull the straps to help him down. This is awesome. He is a very happy dog and we are very happy people! We have purchased two seat belts and plan to order a third.

In 2019, Tansy tore one back ACL, and the following year, she tore another; both were surgically corrected. However, she has since developed arthritis in her back and hips. Over the past few months, signs of aging and arthritis have quickly appeared on Tansy. She has been having difficulty walking around or standing for long periods of time. Her front paws began to deform, possibly in part because she compensated for the pain and deformation of the rear end. An aunt told us about OrthoDog and said it has worked wonders for their dog. We knew we had to give it a try and hopefully give Tansy a better quality of life for the rest of her life.
